Overview Gas Springs :
The Technical Spring Corporation has been a specialist for many years. We can assemble for you the gas springs you need with the necessary connections and options to meet your requirements.
Gas Springs can be used in various situations, such as in automobiles, aviation, furniture, boating and other industrial fields. We offer a wide range of gas springs. If what you desire is not standard, we can customize any type of springs and sizes to meet your requirements. If your order is not in stock, we are able to produce it within a short time.
Be sure to contact us with any question you might have. Give us the desired dimensions and weights and we’ll do the calculations to meet your needs. Below you’ll find an overview of our most common gas springs. We usually have those in stock. If you require a different type, be sure to contact us.
Gas Springs
This spring is mostly used to balance a weight. In the normal position, the piston rod of the gas pressure spring is always extended. The gas pressure on both sides of the piston in the gas pressure spring is the same. The gas is compressible. When an external force is applied to the piston rod towards the cylinder, the piston compresses the gas. Due to the penetration of the piston into the cylinder, the gas pressure increases. When the external force decreases, the piston returns to its original position
Lockable Gas Springs
These springs work like the gas pressure springs but can be blocked continuously in any position. Forces: from 150 Newton (= 15 Kg) to 1200 Newton (= 120 Kg) Stroke length: from 20 mm to 500 mm. The blocking can be delivered in three variants: - Flexible gas spring which can be blocked - Rigid blocking in the pulling direction - Rigid blocking in the pushing direction.
Gas Tension Spring
This spring works in the opposite way to a gas pressure spring. In the unloaded state, the piston rod of this type is always retracted in the cylinder. These springs are built on a two-cylinder principle. The gas is only on one side of the piston. The gas is compressible. When enough external force is applied, the piston rod is pulled out of the cylinder and the gas spring compresses the gas in the outer cylinder. The springs can be supplied in three versions: with & without steamer and can be blocked.
